Gangolihat is a Himalayan hill station in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. It is said that here Adi Shankaracharya did penance to please Adi Shakti. Gangolihat is known for its Shakti Peeth of Haat Kalika Temple - Adi Shakti and Destroyer of Demon's.[1]

1st Day | Second Half
Place we cover: Didihat Hatkalika
Tucked away in the eastern corner of Uttarakhand, Didihat is a wondrous and pristine hillock full of natural beauty. The place is known for its ruins of forts and temples belonging to an era gone by as well for being a halting point on the Kailash Mansoravar Yatra. The Haat Kalika temple is situated at Gangolihat in Pithoragarh district and boasts an exquisite complex area. It is believed that the Goddess Kali shifted her abode from West Bengal to this place and has been the popular goddess in the area ever since.

2nd Day | First Half
Place we cover: Kafni Glacier Trek Patal Bhuvneshwar
The scenic beauty and the tranquility prevailing in this region has an unbeatable charm. The Kaphini (Kafni) Glacier lies left of the Pindar Valley below the famous peak of Nandakot. According to belief, King Rituparna of the Sun dynasty (Surya Vansha) discovered the cave in the Treta Yuga. In the Kali Yuga, Adi Shankaracharya visited this cave in 1191 AD. That was the beginning of the modern pilgrimage history, at Patal Bhuvaneshwar.

Chandak is a hill with an opportunity for a small trek situated on the north side of the Soar Valley. Located at a distance of 8 km from Pithoragarh, this beautiful place also offers its visitors a taste of adventure in form of hang gliding.
